A stellar early mid-century nice sized Finnish redware pottery bowl. Beautiful detailing with inner double cream & soft blue stripes. Wonderful patina and feel to this piece. Exquisite on it's own, gorgeous with pears and I imagine lining this and filling for short terms with spring bulbs.
Stamped on the base 'Kera 56. Measures 13" w x 3 3/4" h.
*The pottery was in business for a couple decades prior to 1958, the year of its closure. It was owned and managed by Valto Aarnio & employed 11 people. They produced three lines of wares: flower pots, functional forms for the home and decorated art pots.
