A beautiful vintage "Per en Soie" perfume bottle by Santa Maria de la Novella. The bronze figural stopper is the most lovely rabbit in a theatrical pose. She is marvelous from every angle. The perfume is lovely. The Santa Maria Novella perfumery sets it's roots back to 1221 and is still in operation today.
A tag from one side has come off. It comes with the perfume but has not been reapplied. Measures 6.5" h x 2.5" w x 2" d.
Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella sets its roots back to 1221. Founded as a Dominican friars conventum, it is considered today the oldest pharmacy in the world, which carries its activities in the very places where they all began.
