The pedestal has a chip to the lower left back corner base and small chip to back lower base. "1959 Alva Studios" Measures 9.5" h x 3.5" w x 4" d.
Alva Studios was operated by Alfred Wolkenberg. Born in Vienna in 1911, he immigrated to the US in 1939. In 1948 he founded Alva Studios of Long Island City, NY. He had many artists and designers who were commissioned to produce reproductions of ancient jewelry and sculpture. All the pieces were marked Alva Museum Replicas and sold at museums worldwide.
