"A "mola" is a brightly colored, intricate textile art created by the Kuna people of Panama. Specifically, it's a yoke-type blouse, that is richly decorated using a reverse appliqué technique. They are nowadys sought after as a collectible piece of art & are often found framed. The technique involves layering multiple fabrics, cutting away sections to reveal contrasting layers, and then finishing the edges with fine stitching.
