A gorgeous antique monocular compound microscope. Circa late 1800's, it features a black metal horseshoe foot and brass mobile parts with beautiful double sided mirror beneath the sample plate.
Made in Glasgow, Scotland by James Brown, circa 1860's-80's. In excellent condition, the microscope comes with a set of 2 lenses, 2 eyepieces and 3 dimmers, all of them perfectly organized in the cases compartments and drawers. The case is made of mahogany wood in waonderful patina. Missong leather handle. Base has age related split. Measures x 5.5" w x 3.5" d. Case measures 12" x 7" x 4."
