A striking pair of antique Chinese porcelain export ware roosters. Standing atop a pierced rock work, with relief detailing that highlights blanc de chine figures a bisque matte red on the comb & wattle.
The slightly taller figure measures 10” in height. He retains a few flea bites to the comb and at some point has had a break to his comb which has an early glue repair. There are two small black spots on the white glaze. His back foot as well as his comb and wattle are matte. See the close-up shots for all details. The smaller of the two measures 9 ¾” in height and is in fine condition. There is a teeny spot on his tail in which the white glaze is slightly grey. The colour on each is very good with some fading as is typical to the beautifully detailed comb and wattle. Both are unmarked.
