An absolutely gorgeous antique French Sarreguemines ironstone transferware soup tureen. Brilliant jardiniere, fabulous holding a wealth of lemons or fruit. Gorgeous centrepiece.
The base has developed the most gorgeous patina from exposure to heated soups, it's lid retains the hue closer to it's original firing. Quite frankly, I would be using this one sans the lid for centrepieces. One hairline on one side. Measures 13.5" handle to handle x 9.5." X 11" with lid on, 7" wuthout lid.
